He's 20 years old and studies History at the Vrije Universiteit. Since June 2024, he has been working via Bikeshift as a mail carrier for PostNL in Arnhem. He enjoys making music and spending time with his friends. Thanks to his enthusiasm and love for the city, he's become a reliable presence on the postal routes of Arnhem. Time to share his story!
When Finn signed up with Bikeshift in June 2024, things moved quickly: after a short video call, everything was arranged and before he knew it, he was out delivering letters and parcels. “Bikeshift handled everything with PostNL. All I had to do was hop on the bike.”
Every Saturday, Finn works as a mail carrier in Arnhem. He delivers letters and mailbox-sized parcels using a PostNL e-bike or cargo bike. “What I like is that you can decide your own start time, as long as everything gets delivered on time. I usually start a bit later, especially after a long Friday night and that’s totally fine.”
As a history student at the Vrije Universiteit, Finn is often with his head in the books. That's exactly why this side job is so nice. "I love being outside and this job really gives me the space to clear my head for a while. You get to streets you would never get to otherwise and often chat with people along the way. Only when it rains is it sometimes a bit of a letdown."
