“After completing my MBO studies in hotel management & hospitality, I was approached to join Bikeshift. Working as a planner and recruiter gives me a great sense of fulfillment. From phone interviews and video calls to supporting candidates so they can quickly get started with one of our clients – it's all incredibly meaningful and genuinely fun. For me, the challenge lies in making the process run smoothly and truly helping each candidate. That may sound simple, but many of our candidates don’t speak Dutch, have refugee backgrounds, and genuinely need guidance. So when we succeed in guiding them through the onboarding process and getting them to work quickly, it gives me a great sense of pride. My goal is always to hit my targets, but never without seeing the person behind the numbers. That mindset is something I’ve personally learned a lot from. Things move fast at Bikeshift. Consumers and companies are increasingly focused on sustainability, and electric delivery fits perfectly into that vision. AI will also have a big impact on our recruitment processes in the near future. It's important that we stay up to date with the latest technologies. Personally, I’ve learned more in the past six months at Bikeshift than I did in all my years of school. Working as part of a team is something I really value. Everyone brings a different perspective, and that’s where the learning happens. Giving and receiving feedback is a big part of that. A fun personal fact – besides Dutch, I also speak Japanese, Polish, and English, which comes in handy when working in our international team and supporting candidates from all kinds of backgrounds.”
