"Working at Bikeshift really gets me incredibly excited. It is varied and no day feels the same. After studying at the Secondary Hotel School, I started working as a planner and recruiter. Now I search for talent for major clients such as PostNL, for whom I manage the talent pool. I really try to be there for our candidates who apply and help them through the whole application process. Sometimes I apply for a work permit for them and help with all the online procedures that need to be done beforehand. My respect for our riders who work outdoors 40 hours a week through all kinds of weather is very high. Many of them, including status holders, really want to make something of it and are hugely motivated. This work has made me more social. I get on well with most candidates and empathise with lives that are sometimes completely different from my own. It takes patience, but you get a lot in return. Bikeshift is healthily commercial at the same time. We work very hard as a team to get results, and we are currently succeeding very well. The successes make me proud of the team and what we have achieved together. I expect all cities to become emission-free within five years. For that, you just need a lot of bicycle couriers and other logistics staff. We will probably double in size, because people and companies just want to keep receiving parcels at the door.
