What are you going to do

As a mail sorter at the sorting location in Amsterdam, you play a crucial role in delivering mail. Together with your colleagues you are responsible for sorting mail, bundling it, and placing it in order in the mail bags for the mail deliverers in Amsterdam. Thanks to your orderly approach, the mail deliverers are able to deliver their mail accurately and on time.

What are the working days and working hours as a mail sorter in Amsterdam?

Work days are in the morning from Tuesday to Saturday. Which days you will work is completely up to you. Hereby you have a choice between two shifts, namely:

  • from 04:30 am to 09:30 am
  • from 06:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.

*20% surcharge on hourly wages between 06:00 and 08:00;
**50% surcharge on the hourly wage if you work on a Saturday;

All employees (21+) working for PostNL earn a gross hourly wage of €12.45 per hour. This salary increases with vacation pay (8%) and vacations (10%) as we work exclusively with employment contracts. Working as a freelancer is therefore not possible.
