When your shift starts, you cycle to the depot in Almere where you start your day by collecting the post that has already been pre-sorted. As a mail deliverer, you will make people happy with their letters and letterbox packages. You can choose whether you work at a location where you have a lot of contact with colleagues or whether you drive your own route independently. Something for everyone!
Of course, we provide a paid introduction in the form of a trial day. Here, you will be guided by one of your teammates and they will help you with the systems you will be working with.
You can choose to deliver on your own bike. In that case, make sure this bike is sturdy enough so you can carry panniers. You will receive extra compensation for this. If you prefer to cycle on an E-bike or use a PostNL bicycle, this is - in most cases - also possible.
To scan letterbox parcels, you will use an app. It is therefore important that you have a smartphone you can use while working. For using your smartphone, you will receive a monthly smartphone allowance of €8.00!
Working days are during the day from Tuesday to Saturday. Which days you will work is completely up to you. Your working day will start between 09:00 and 12:00 (you will agree on this with PostNL). How long your shift lasts depends on the neighbourhoods you will deliver to. You will arrange this with PostNL. Your shift can last up to 5 hours, so if you want to work more hours, we will make sure you can deliver to several districts.
Are you looking for a job close to home, where you get to decide when to start? Then start as a bicycle courier in Almere at PostNL.
