Leusden, 20 July 2022 - DOCKR, the sustainable provider of flexible all-inclusive subscriptions for electric company bikes, has entered into a partnership with Bikeshift, the recruitment platform for bike couriers. Through this partnership, customers of both companies now benefit from the best of both worlds: a sustainable, electric company carrier bicycle and a flexibly deployable bicycle courier.
Delivery services and other logistics service providers are facing two major challenges: difficult access to inner cities with high parking costs and environmental zones on the one hand, and staff shortages on the other. Fully in line with the vision that things can always be done differently, DOCKR and Bikeshift now offer their customers the possibility of simultaneously deploying both electric company bikes and bicycle couriers. Not only does this tackle the challenges of accessibility and staffing, this all-in solution also offers customers of both companies maximum security and flexibility for their operations.
DOCKR's electric company bikes are ideal for getting around the difficult accessibility, parking and environmental zones of city centres. All models come with flexible, all-inclusive rental contracts that can be cancelled every month and are viable for any business. DOCKR offers preventive maintenance, breakdown assistance, insurance against damage and theft and fast replacement transport, so the users' business processes never have to come to a halt for long.
Bikeshift now employs over 1,600 bicycle couriers in 27 Dutch and Belgian cities. Through smart, data-driven planning, the company ensures that customers have easy access to motivated, well-insured and fairly paid bike couriers with an employment contract. Bikeshift takes care of everything: from recruitment and selection to salary payment, insurance and continued payment during illness. In this way, the company offers an attractive alternative to the undesirable 'self-employment' that is increasingly the norm in the bicycle courier sector.
